Den ene testspissen kan festes til testeren, som dermed gir 19mm avstand. Passer da direkte inn i stikkontakten og kan betjenes med en hånd. Elma 1000A har IP 54 og oppfyller bl.a. IEC 61010-1 KAT III 690V og EN 61243-3.
