Onninen is the market winner
The electrical wholesaler Onninen also delivered a very good quarter and is the market winner in the first quarter. The company has sales of 67.5 million euros, a growth of 13.7 percent.
The share of digital commerce has increased from just under 50%, to close to 60% during the period.
- We have great ambitions and will build on the good moment in the years to come, says Kristoffersen.
Byggmakker takes shares in the Private Market
Byggmakker had sales of 146.6 million euros in the first quarter, an increase of 12.7 per cent. Byggmakker Private Marked had a growth in turnover of as much as 27.4 per cent in March compared to the same month last year. The growth is particularly impressive considering that several of the department stores in several places in the country have been closed for longer periods, and physical trading was replaced by online shopping and Click and Collect in store.
-Customers have shown both flexibility and adaptability, and we see an increase in online shopping of 148 percent from the fourth quarter to the first quarter of this year, says Kristoffersen.
During the period, Carlsen Fritzøe, which was acquired in July 2020, was also re-profiled as Byggmakker.
-During the quarter, we re-profiled and changed the logo of all 25 Carlsen Fritzøe department stores. With a fully integrated company, we look forward to continuing the good growth for Byggmakker, says Kristoffersen.
